I'm an associate professor  in the School of Mathematics at the University of Bristol, affiliated with the Institute for Pure Mathematics and the Institute for Probability, Analysis, and Dynamical Systems. Before coming here I did postdocs at the University of Helsinki, University of Fribourg, and Aalto University, and before that I did my PhD at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.

My research interests concern hyperbolic surfaces and related things (low dimensional geometry and topology, Teichmüller theory, mapping class groups, billiards, geometric group theory...). See here for my papers and preprints.

I also have an affiliation with UiT Artic University of Norway in Tromsø and involved in the project Aurora Center for Mathematical Structures in Computations (MASCOT)

I wrote a book (with J. Souto)
Here you can read the first few pages, including the table of content and introduction....
