Vito D. Gala

I am the Global Head of Systematic Investing and Quantitative Research at Morningstar Investment Management LLC, where I lead the firm’s global systematic investing business and platform, spanning data, research, development, and portfolio management of quantitative investment strategies. As Adjunct Professor of Finance at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, I teach courses in quantitative investing and C-suite investment leadership executive education programs. Previously at PIMCO, I led advanced quantitative investment strategies and firmwide alpha capture initiatives. Formerly, I was finance professor at The Wharton School and London Business School, after completing my doctoral studies at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Early in my career, I worked at Bain & Company and in the Financial Institution Group at Credit Suisse.
