"Hello Sir,
How are you doing? I hope you remember me. Just as a gentle reminder, I was your ex-student, from M.Sc. Biotechnology, 2010-12 batch, Section-B. One of the notorious batches you might have come across.
Sir, I have been thinking of writing a mail to you since quite a long time, but somehow couldn’t.
My reason being, just to say THANK YOU!
You might be a little surprised by this. But I genuinely mean it.
It’s been almost 8 months now that I have left Amity. But even today I can remember your lectures. The way you used to come up for the lecture after preparing for hours. The stories of your childhood, your pranks, your opinions for our never ending jokes and masti. But more than all this, I remember the feeling the you used to generate in me and I am sure many others in our class. THE FEELING OF IMPORTANCE OF HARD WORK . Never was there a day when it was your lecture, and you weren’t discussed at nights, during our hostel talks. And mind you, they were all good things.
Sir, for me, Amity was a place where one can excel and enjoy life at the same time. During our last year, you were a major part in our excellence as well as fun. The way you used to inspire us, no other teacher could. There were many well qualified, renowned professors in our department and I am proud to be called as one of their students. And they do have a place in our hearts, and the respect that they have earned, but in your case Sir, it’s always been different. Maybe it is because of the friendly and approachable attitude that you inculcated with us, but you do hold a special and a different place in our hearts. Your efforts and commitment towards teaching and to excel was always visible, and that inspired us to study.
A student meets many kinds of teachers in his lifetime, but very few are able to cross the barriers that a student tends to make during his growing years. In my case, I am not saying that only you have been able to do it. What I mean is that you are among those people whom I will never forget. It’s said that a student and a teacher’s relation is of the highest level, higher than a parent and a child’s relation. You are among those teachers!
Even today, whenever I see any pics uploaded by you on facebook (like the farewell one’s) ,it gives a very good feeling. I am sure, somewhere down the line, we being your first batch, even you do miss us as a class!
Do you remember the farewell party when we had celebrated after our last sem exams?. Sir, everybody was there. EVERYBODY! Not one student wanted to miss out on you and your preparations and expectations.
Basically, all I want to say is that I am proud to be your student and really appreciate the amount of effort, hard work and commit you put in your teaching, and with your perseverance and patience, I am sure you will scale great heights. I don't know how often do you get such mails, but I know this that even though I never really interacted much with you and not really in touch now, but you still deserve to know that there are students who remember you as a teacher and are always in our prayers!
“There are two kinds of teachers: the kind that fill you with so much quail shot that you can't move, and the kind that just gives you a little prod behind and you jump to the skies.”

"Hello sir,
I hope you are doing well.
I know this is long overdue, but I am writing to you to just thank you for all that you have done for us as a teacher.
One week into my first job, I can proudly say that there hasn't been an instance where I have had to feel embarrassed about my lack of knowledge. I am just starting out and being groomed for the duties of a research associate but the knowledge that you imparted has made this transition a lot easier.
My concepts about sequencing methods are very clear and all the credit goes to the efforts you put into making the ppts, your genomics lectures and the way you taught us. I just had to revise those ppts and all the concepts I had studied 2 years ago were fresh, as if i had been studying them all my life.
Basic knowledge about sequencing methods has made my job as well as my reporting officer's job a lot easier and he appreciates the amount of conceptual knowledge I possess and can trust that I will be able to handle the affairs of the lab singlehandedly in the future. As a result, I am much more confident about my capabilities.
I cant thank you enough Sir.
I hope our paths cross again in the future and I get the chance to study under your guidance once again.
With warmest regards,
Aakriti Pandita"

hello sir ,
I want to say a few words for u as I came to know that u r leaving amity ,I should write all this last year but never got the right words but now it’s the right time to do so.
So, lets start from starting I know it will be quite long but when you came to teach us during our 4 year you were one of those teacher who always gives inspiration by your method of teaching ,vipins- e- classroom all these things at least inspired us to do something good and at least take studies seriously in our life ,
but my main interaction begins when I became the crc coordinatior and when the placement began ,you were the only person who always brings out the positivity among us ,I still remember the day when think and learn came into the campus and u were with us till late night this is just one of the incidents there are many like these like when IMS came just took one of the students but u were always having a smilling face ,
then u started the classes for improving our aptitude skills after completing your regular classes ,you are one of those who always take care of your students sometime going beyond your limits also , you are one of the main pillar of aib crc I dnt know how Pooja mam will handle all dis but anyway I know she will miss u ,
and at last I just want to say sir that you are inspiration for me if I look up to someone in my life I would like to look up to you ,want to be like u ,after all the difficulties and everything you always smile ,you teach me one thing in life that whatever bad happens in ones life he should always welcome the bad phase with smile and stand still without being shattered ,and always be patiently waiting for the good phase
Nobody can replace you in amity or in our hearts I wish I can meet u one last time ,have a great life ahead sir

"How are you Sir,
Today we were remembering you in Roche as our guides were asking us questions on 454 and human genome sequencing.
We told them how you dedicated your time in teaching us these techniques.
They were astonished to hear that we we were also taught about ion torrent, nanopore and chip based sequencing techniques.
As 454 is close to discontinuation so they were happy to know that we are aware of third generation sequencing techniques."

"Respected Sir,
I am re-attaching the files with my comments (only in the B.Tech file, referring to both although have given scores to both courses separately).
On a personal note I want to honestly say that, Genomics is the most important course which I was taught at Amity. Now that I am doing research at AIIMS on genetics of stroke, I am using each and every technique/tool which you taught us and I am so thankful to you for being such a great faculty. I believe no student can skip this course and think about taking up research as a career option.
Hence a defining course in their life as a researcher, I believe the syllabus is designed very well specially for the dual degree course.
I believe a faculty like you will again do full justice to such an important course in a students's life.
Please contact if you need any more assistance. I would be more than willing to contribute
Your proud student,
With regards"

"Dear Sir!
It's very rare to find lecturers who :
1)Always enter the class with a smile! That too a dimpled one.
2)Adjust their time-table according to students.
3) Burn the mid night oil and stay awake with students till 4 in the morning to despise last minute doubts.
4)Seem more tensed than the students on the D-day.
5)Share their happiness with sweets following every single time.
6) Have patience of a diamond.
7)Have the power to inspire.
I just saw the you tube video. :)
How I wished could have shared the frame with you.
You have no idea how much power a teacher has to influence a student with his personality.
You are a gem with perfect management, diction and projection!
Thank you for this beautiful journey. I wish you all the success and good times ahead!
Heartfelt regards"

"Hello Sir,
Finally the college has ended for us and we have the degrees in our hands.
But the thing still left is to thank you for being a great teacher.
You have been one of the best ones we had in the 5 years and will always hold this place.
I always preferred being the silent one during the semesters and never got a chance to tell you that you truly inspire us.
If I ever plan to teach in future, you will be my idol.
From being an amazing faculty and making the concepts easy to being a friend for all of us, you have always been there for your students.
I hope every student gets a chance to have you as a teacher because that will be one great experience to hold.
Thank you so much sir for understanding all of us. "

"Dear Sir,

Sir, I could not keep myself from writing to you today.
My supervisor gave me a problem and I remembered your lectures for a solution. You taught us SAGE technology. And it clicked in my mind.I understand how important those lectures were and I hope you remember that 4 of us were there for a repeat class for SAGE lecture. It is helping me now.
My supervisor is very impressed by my thinking ability.
Thank you sir.
I wish I could again get a chance to attend those classes.
Take care sir."

"Dearest Sir,
Some people say that teachers are just guides but I believe that teachers like you are our second parents. They teach you a lot about life and its wonderful experiences (and yeah...some occasional genomics too). Thanks for making our classroom feel like our second home.
When I look back, my college time was the best in my life. Apart from all the tests & all the fests; all the trends & all the friends, I will have happy memories of college because of an awesome mentor like you. Moreover I never saw you as a clichéd teacher I always saw you as one of us. Sometimes I even wonder how awesome it would have been if you were our age and we could study together. You would bring (even more) swagger to my gang.
I hope this Birthday brings you happiness along with peace and not just ageing (you don’t admit but you are getting old).
To the best and the most fantastic teacher there is- Happy Birthday! May life give you nothing but the best it has to offer – which is exactly what you have given us as a teacher.
Irrevocably faithful"
