The Vintage Radio Group (MX0VRG) is a 'special interest group' affiliated to the well-known and innovative Aries ARC and Phoenix ARC in the UK. It is a 'virtual user group', not a collectors' club, and members are scattered across the universe and multiverse (possibly also the glactoverse).
Equipment we use includes a Yaesu FT-101ZD, Kenwood TS-830S, each with more-or-less contemporary accessories; also an Icom IC-735, an early compact, all solid state radio, and a later Icom IC-706 (now 25 years old). 'In the cupboard' are a Yaesu FT-690 and FT-790 plus a Kenwood TR-751E.
Due to the variable and unpredictable nature of propagation, panicdemics and human behaviour VRG activities are ad-hoc .... 'we do what we can, when we can'.
