Welcome!
I have been teaching for 22 years, and this will be my 17th year at Union. In the past, I have taught in Milpitas, San Jose, and Austin where I taught grades 4-6 and bilingual education. While at Union, I've taught all core classes in 6th grade and science 8. This year I will again be teaching 8th grade science.
I grew up in San Jose where I graduated from Willow Glen High. I received my bachelors degree in Physical Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz in 2001 and later received my CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU Monterey Bay in 2003. I currently live in San Jose with my husband and two kids with one away at college. I love teaching and I can’t wait to get this year started.
The best way to contact me is through email. I try to respond to messages within 24 hours unless it is a weekend or holiday break. I am only on campus to speak on the phone from 8:05-3:05, but I will check my e-mail throughout the school day.
