I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies at Zayed University, UAE. Welcome to my webpage!

Previously, I  worked as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Management Technology, Dubai, UAE, and the Nelson Rusche College of Business at Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas, USA. I also briefly worked as a Visiting Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai. I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University, USA, in August 2016. I hold a Bachelors in Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. 

My research interests are in the area of Applied Microeconomics with a focus on Labor, Health, and Economics of crime. My overarching research goal is to provide credible causal evidence that answers important policy-relevant questions. I enjoy music and travel. I have been trained in Indian classical music for almost ten years. Having lived in India, Singapore, USA, and now UAE, I have had ample opportunities to travel. I have so far visited 4 continents, 14 countries, 20 US states, and 16 Indian States and union territories.
