ABOUT

Dr. Vijay Kumar holds a PhD from IIT Delhi's Amar Nath and Shashi Khosla School of Information Technology, specializing in Fundus Imaging-based healthcare solutions for infants with ROP. He has extensive experience in both industry and academia, having worked as an IoT/IIoT solution developer at Tata Technologies Ltd. and completing an internship at AIML Ltd., where he developed an automated sieve calibration unit. 

He holds a Master of Science in Research from IIT Delhi and has contributed to several projects sponsored by ICMR, MeiTY, and TCIL. As a Project Research Associate at the National Physics Laboratory Delhi (CSIR), he developed affordable healthcare devices, including oximeters and ECG monitors. 

Dr. Kumar earned his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, where he researched wireless sensor networks. His diverse research interests include medical image processing, embedded systems, wearable devices, MEMS sensor applications, and IoT. Recently, he interned with the MEMS Sensor group at ST Microelectronics, focusing on wearable healthcare devices.

Currently, Dr. Vijay Kumar is a Principal Project Scientist at the Amar Nath and Shashi Khosla School of Information Technology, IIT Delhi.
