From the Airport

Airport → Valparaíso/Viña del Mar

The international airport Arturo Merino Benítez is located in Pudahuel, Santiago, at nearly 20 km from the city center, and nearly 110 km from Valparaiso/Viña del Mar. There are shuttles that connect the airport to Santiago and Valparaíso/Viña, as well as transfers from/to the airport. We recomend to avoid hiring transport outside the official counters inside the airport.

By transfer:

Book a transfer at the transfer counters inside the airport. We recomend Transvip, TurTransfer, and Delfos. The cost can vary between CLP$80.000-100.000 (US$120-150), for a van with capacity of 7 passengers, with transport to each passenger destination.

By public transport:

• Option 1: Airport → Valparaíso/Viña:

Exit the Airport through Exit 5, and go to the shuttle stop. TurBus company has a shuttle that connects the airport to Valparaíso bus station (first stop) and Viña del Mar bus station (second stop). It leaves at 10:30 and at 14:30. The trip costs about CLP$6.000 (US$9), paid directly to the bus driver. Get off the bus at the corresponding bus station.

• Option 2: Airport → Estación Pajaritos (Santiago) → Valparaíso/Viña:

Airport → Estación Pajaritos:

Exit the Airport through Exit 5, and go to the shuttle stop. Two shuttle companies connect the airport to the bus/metro station Pajaritos: CentroPuerto and TurBus. The round trip costs about CLP$3.400 (US$5), paid directly to the bus driver. Get off the bus at Pajaritos bus/metro station.

Estación Pajaritos → Valparaíso/Viña:

At Pajaritos bus/metro station, purchase a bus ticket at the counters of the bus agencies (inside the station), with destination Valparaíso or Viña del Mar. The round trip costs about CLP$6.000 (US$9). Avoid buying tickets or trips outside the counters. Get off the bus at the terminus (Terminal Rodoviario Valparaíso or Rodoviario Viña del Mar).

By taxi:

Book a taxi at the Official Taxi desk inside the airport. The cost can vary between CLP$80.000-100.000 (US$120-150), for a taxi with capacity of 4 passengers.
