I'm a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics of the University of Essex.
Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford and Nuffield College, and I did my PhD at the Paris School of Economics.
My research studies how public policies affect formal and informal institutions in developing countries.

I completed my PhD in Economics at the Paris School of Economics in 2020, under the supervision of Pr. Marc Gurgand.
Before doing my PhD, I worked for eight years on research projects and impact evaluations on education, health, and governance in Africa and Asia with organizations such as the World Bank, the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA).
