General Motors to expand its Halol plant in Gujarat

US car maker General Motors would shortly have 110,000 units annual commissioned capacity at its Halol plant in Gujarat, up from its present installed annual capacity of 85,000 units. The company is planning to roll out the new 8- seater MPV from its Gujarat plant in the next couple of months.

The company has phased out few of its models such as the Chevrolet Optra and Aveo. After phasing out models like Chervolet Optra and Aveo and launching the Chevrolet Sail U-VA, it plans to roll out a new sedan model ―Sail‖ by the next month.
