Today, users prefer to create multiple accounts on different email applications to send or receive an email for personal and professional use. Therefore, managing all accounts becomes completely a difficult situation, by opening them on their respective applications. To provide easy access to VERIZON Mail users, they can access their mail in the VERIZON email client or by adding VERIZON mail accounts to other email applications. To do so, users need to Configure VERIZON Mail's IMAP / SMTP Settings manually.
IMAP is a shortened form of the Internet Mail Access Protocol, which refers to the email protocol for storing and retrieving email over a TCP / IP connection. The IMAP protocol allows users to view, manipulate, and organize emails into folders to manage them properly. The IMAP protocol supports all modern email applications. IMAP with SMTP (the simple mail transfer protocol used to send email) is highly recommended by VERIZON due to its features such as flexibility, security, security, and synchronization.
