Sparfield was predominantly of government bloodlines through Mansfield, Linsley and Querido. He was winner in 1965 of the National Morgan Cutting Horse Title. 1965 - 1968 he was the Champion Morgan Cutting Horse of Oregon. He went on to be a top notch Park horse. His dam, Heather, carries bloodlines of some greats like National Champion Gays Cinco De Mayo, Headlite Mickey Waer and Dapper Dan. Shadow's bloodlines are chaulked full of working blood.
The 1981 stallion Sparfield (Lee Spar x Kitty Sparfield), bred by W. S. Rowland and tracing back to Linsley through Hunewell Ranch breeding, was used by Art and Jo Baughman of Desiderata Morgans, Philhomath, Oregon. The Sparfield grandson Desiderata Desert Storm (Desiderata Sparfield x Just-A-Nod Michelle by Windcrest Music Man) has won many Reining championships including the Grand National Open Reining Championship in 2000. Easter Vermont (Red Vermont x Nona) -AMHA # 9804 - Bred by Jack Davis - Foaled 1947 - Sire of 38 foals.
Another good son of Red Vermont from the Davis breeding program in Lodi, CA. He was a full brother to Domino Vermont, Rosy Vermont, Holly Vermont, Ester Vermont, and Dina Vermont. Easter Vermont became the sire Stormy E (out of Nancys Charm by Sonfield) who was last stallion used by Horseshoe Cattle Company. Stormy E became the sire of the good stallions Trix Hill and Roland G Hill. The Easter Vermont daughter Tetonia Royalty (out of Tetonia Royal Ann) was a very important mare for Myrtle Neely. His daughter Starlette B was the dam of the stallions Patchett Hill and Danny Easter Vermont.
