Oh honey, I'm home!
Once you've waltzed into Drake Headquarters and greeted their security mage with a bullet to the face, grab your cyberdeck and get to work. Fortunately the password you garnered from the Rust Stilletos will get you into the system.
Excellent; we're in!
Though I would like to mention that it seems completely counter-productive that all office buildings in this game lock down their elevators so much that even their lowly workers can't seem to catch a ride.
The joys of being a wage slave, I suppose.
How quaint. Going up?
*cue elevator music from the Control level on Goldeneye 64*
Get used to the constant theme of going up a floor, murdering everybody, then using a computer to steal data, nuyen, and activate the elevators to go up and rinse and repeat.
Also, there are a ton of hackable computers in this building. Your best bet is to drag along Kitsune for some healing, and Steelflight for some extra decking power.
Hell yeah. Money for nothin', and the chicks for free.
Point of note: Those little weird green nodes (gray after attacking) inside the system are what activate the elevators. They're some sort of special control nodes, as opposed to the white boxes which are data stores.
Remember the Caryards? Well, in keeping with the complete ADHD way we have been playing so far, I'd like to maintain that level of confusion and bounce back around to clean house while I have some opportunity for advancement.
Hey Vegeta, what's the scouter say about his pay level?
It's still under 9000!
[Editor's Note: Sorry, I just couldn't resist. Sadly, as we're about to see, we never can make over 9000 on a fight in the arena... Which is a shame, really.]
This is the most annoying fight in the arena. This mage keeps splitting off duplicates that just go *poof* when you kill them. You have to find and put the hurt on the real him to win this one.
Holy crap, we just cleared the entire Arena with our awesomeness (even though we had some help from that pesky Freeze spell that ruins any lone enemies' day).
Now I know what John Cena must feel like.
At this time, I have decided to sell back my old equipment (namely my T-250 Shotgun) and upgrade to the HK 227 Assault Rifle and Partial Body Suit. You can continue on with the Mesh Jacket/T-250 Shotgun combo for awhile still, but I prefer to wipe the floor with my enemies in these upcoming stages. And no worries, for later on the money pretty much as good as grows on trees and falls from the sky.
Back to the Drake HQ... Man, these matrix patterns are starting to feel a bit same-ish right now.
Good god, MORE terminals!? On my first few playthroughs of the game, I really enjoyed this, but after awhile the overwhelming amount of hackable computers becomes almost sort of a chore.
But there is information and fat loots to be had -- so keep digging.
A pro tip... If you find yourself having to solo these rooms, just walk in and cast Invisibility on yourself. Then just hammer away at people with impunity. It really is the hassle free way to deal with them, and much nicer than that crappy armor spell.
Just don't forget to re-cast Invisibility before it wears off if there are still bad guys around.
Thanks for the money, chumps.
Well now, do I spy Drake's phone number?
My prank calling sense is tingling. But walking all the way back to a vid-phone doesn't seem worth it at this point.
Well, well... I spy a Vidphone...
It's almost like they WANT me to call.
Excellent. We're nearing the top floor of this place.
I can't resist the urge to do this before we go up another floor. Even though it will surely let this Drake fellow know that I am on my way to pay him a visit...
Wait a second... Drake is a damn DRAGON!? Why doesn't anybody ever feel the need to tell me these sorts of things; as it seems like it would be rather import information to know before I get eaten or burnt to a crisp by a grumpy scaled behemoth!
Game over man, game over!
Well, a handy helicopter on a rooftop. Not exactly what I was expecting in this game, but it makes sense... As I feel another field trip is in my immediate future, so that we can pay this Drake fellow a visit.
