My training includes a Masters in Education, Counseling Psychology, from the University of British Columbia, a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Haden Institute, and completion of the transformational Exercises of St. Ignatius.
In addition, I hold 30 years of experience as a Teacher-Counselor in a Catholic high school. Prior to working in a Catholic setting, I was a Child and Family Counselor for seven years with the Ministry of Children and Families. I also spent five years as a teacher-counselor in an alternative school which was preceded by a teaching position in a remote Indigenous fishing village.
My current practice includes both counseling and spiritual direction which is a process of discernment. I believe that the journey to freedom includes finding our authentic voice.
