Whoa, that water got high! Good thing I can still work on the website from home. I am still getting used to the framework and the proper placement and naming convention of files to allow the Hugo framework to create pages automatically. I plan on basing my custom theme on the Forty template in Hugo. The appeal is the dark background with lighter buttons and text. This is similar to what Worcester Clean Tech Incubator has done with their website, and I believe that this design could be used again to positively represent H3.

I have been working on developing plans and diagrams for events to be held at H3. The current state of development is to create layouts of possible configurations on the floor plans. An example of my work can be seen on the left where a banquet style event is laid out in the main hall.

Today was a little different for one of our group members, Ryan Lee. Due to an issue with the apartment, he had to remain in there for about six hours today to 1) receive a new water boiler after the old one broke and 2) receive three new mattresses from Amazon. However he still was able to work and demonstrates the felibility our team has with unexpected situations that pop up! We also had to deal with acqua alta this week, and the one that occured on Tuesday the 29th was the fourth highest level recorded at 156cm!

This week has been an interesting one. I decided to take on a lot of the interior design portion of the current project. As such, the last week has been primarily me determining the direction and schedule at which I want to work with for remainder of the term. The schedule we had set for this part of the project has since been scrapped, due to certain portions becoming less necessary or un-needed.
To begin, I am working on updates to the framework of the Design Catalog and Thematic Catalog using Adobe InDesign CC. Additionally, I have been using .dwg files of the floor plans to try and generate some useful animations of the building for SerenDPT and the H3 team. These two software are relatively new to me and the learning curve has been quite steep. Examples of my current work are to the right.
