Jeez we're already done. These last two weeks have accelerated with website development. As the one month gym membership expired, I now have more free time to dedicate to this baby. Since Hugo is a static site generator, it provides no help when working with a database and dynamically loading information, such as available event times. Therefore, I have wrote this entire event page in javascript so that the elements will update upon different selections. In addition to the massive amount of code written for the event application, I have also updated other sections of the website to make them as clean and presentable as possible. The code is now bug free and includes comments to describe each section of the code that will be easy to understand once passed off. In addition to the website, we have also stayed up late editing and proofreading our paper until it shone. It's processing approval right now, but the advisors seemed to like it. Boy will I get good sleep on that plane ride home!

It has been a long day tying everything together. In just a few days I'll be on a plane heading to Dublin... and then to Boston less than 2 hours after that. It's been a long 2 months, and while I'm relieved to say the work is finally done, part of me will likely miss the charm that Venice has started to impart on me. In some ways, I wish I had just a little more time here to do some more exploring, meet some more locals, and just get even more immersed in the culture. But that can be saved for the future. I've definitely stayed my welcome and it is time for me to go. Working with the mindset of an interior designer, complex manager, maintenance manager, and the like for the last 7 weeks has been an interesting experience, and has definitely shown me that there are things in life I really have a knack for, and things I really just never want to do again. Presentations were earlier this week and they went stunningly as I had hoped. Of course, all the rehearsing in the world won't stop a technical glitch from arising when using wireless mice as a clicker for presenting. Anyway, I'm just glad it happened in rehearsals and I was prepared for it, otherwise I don't know what I would have done. Now just to wrap up the paper, finalize all of our documents, and maybe get some shut eye. Oh, and another spritz before I head home for Christmas probably wouldn't be too bad either!

My work is done. I have physically carried things around H3 many times. I have organized books into shelves. I have created floor maps and a labeling system for each room. I have tested every key into every door in the Church and the Deposito. I have developed lists of the materials SerenDPT needs to buy for events with prices, recommended how much these should be rented for, created a cost plan for the rental of space for events by outside organizations, created a form for people to apply for events and exhibits, found the reverberation time of each room, measured the space of each room and estimated how many chairs and people can fit inside, and I have even taken pictures of a number of the rooms to be used on the website. These are even just the major things I have done. The presentation has been presented and the report has been written. It is time for me to go home and stop doing whatever random stuff SerenDPT wants. I wish the next group that has to put up with them luck.
