In continuing with the interior design portion of the project, I have begun to move away from the creation of schematics in Adobe Illustrator, and started pushing forward with a refined version of the catalog that focuses more so on newly found spaces online, rather than those we documented while in Worcester, since they seem to lack the characteristics I am seeing in these newer, more involved designs created by and for large companies. To highlight some of these differences I have attached an image of Worcester CleanTech Incubator (top) and the Microsoft London Accelerator (bottom) on the left.
While it is perfectly reasonable for these more developed companies to have nice spaces, the smaller companies fail to convey a level of inspiration I would feel comfortable with in this catalog. Perhaps it would be wise if the two were separated so as to present the findings of what is possible on the small scale and large scales.

This week we assisted the 30th Anniversary Team with packing and transfering all IQP projects and the VPC library from the old VPC center in San Polo over to H3. We picked up the boxes in Piazza Roma and moved them to the facility, where we boxed them and then placed them on a boat. This boat arrived at H3 and we placed the boxes inside. Tomaso was a little flustered at how we were placing the boxes, so we fixed this issue.

This week our work for events changed course. Previously I had been trying to make diagrams of each event, but the adviser told us that this was too extra and that they weren't going to do half of the events that I had made diagrams for. I believed it was more appropriate to be prepared for even these types of events as it is likely banquets, cabarets, or cocktail events may occur in the future, but the adviser/sponsor insisted that preparation for these was unnecessary. Thus my work shifted to just developing numbers of how many people can fit into each room. I used CAD to measure the space of each room and then a ruler to measure the space of each chair. Simple math determined how many chairs fit into each room.

Unfortunately not much week was done on the website was done this week. The week began with me assisting Colin in the arrangement of chairs in the Main Hall in order to gain a representative picture of the event space. Then our team packaged the library in the old VPC to transfer it to H3, where we unpacked them, verified every book in the database, and properly arranged them on the shelves.
