About me

Personal particulars

My name is Andrea Varga. I was born in Berettyóújfalu,

Hungary in 1973. I live in Makó, Hungary.

Education /Experience

I lived in Nailsea, Great Britain between 1996-1998. Therefore, I gained a

lot of experience and was able to win a seat in József Attila

University (University of Szeged now), in Hungary. My major was

English language and literature. I was also

trained to be an English teacher. The subject of my MA Thesis

was the works of Jane Austen, more precisely 'Cognition,

Recognition in Jane Austen's Novels'.

Furthermore, I have a degree in Teaching Hungarian as a

Foreign Language (University of Szeged, 2003).

I continued my studies at ELTE (Eötvös Loránd University), Budapest.

My major was Hungarian language and literature.

I got my university degree in 2011. The title of my MA Thesis

was Ambiguity in Henry James' The Turn of the Screw.

I really enjoyed working with this piece of work.

Hobbies and interests

I enjoy reading. My favourite authors are Jane Austen, Victor

Hugo, Lev Tolstoy and Mór Jókai. I'm also very keen on listening to

music, especially classical, folk, pop and R'n B. One of my

favourite pastimes is learning languages. Besides English I

speak Italian and I'm learning Korean at the moment.

As for sports, I used to do gymnastics and swim. If I have a

little free time, I do TAI CHI.
