This 12-month program provides undergraduate students in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline with intensive experience in artificial intelligence and simulation research. The main goal is to provide undergraduate students with an in-depth, hands-on research experience focused on artificial intelligence (AI), object modeling and urban simulation. The students will be mentored and will participate in various research tasks, e.g., data collection and annotation, AI model training, 3D modeling, and simulation development. The program provides research experience for undergraduates (REU) and is not an internship. The program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and hosted by University of Dayton (UD) in Dayton, Ohio, a beautiful city right on the bank of the Great Miami River.
This REU Supplement program supports two (2) UD undergraduate students during a 12-month research on the UD campus (August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023). In particular, this program seeks to engage undergraduate students interested in the fields of computer science or engineering who wish to pursue intensive research opportunities in a supportive and engaging learning environment. The emphasis will be on computer vision and 3D simulation, areas that have extensive practical applications from education, entertainment to healthcare, and beyond. During the program, REU students will work with the faculty mentor and research students on projects that focus on AI and city planning simulation. REU students will participate in research activities and a research symposium.
Stipend: Each REU student will receive up to $8,000 stipend for a 12-month period.

We are recruiting two research students who are highly motivated, meticulous, organised, have a high interest in software development (for example, games, augmented reality, computer vision), and able to meet tight deadlines. The contract's duration is one year. At the end of the initial one year period this arrangement will be extended based on the candidate's performance.

Research Engineer Positions Available

My project proposal is awarded. We are recruiting two research engineers who are highly motivated, meticulous, organised, have a high interest in augmented reality software development, and able to meet tight deadlines.
The working office is in Singapore. The successful candidate is entitled to 20 days of annual leave. The salary shall be competitive. The contract's duration is 2 years. At the end of the initial two year period this arrangement may be extended.
The appointee must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. He/she must have a strong background on augmented reality, computer vision and possess the solid coding skill with C++/Java. A Master/PhD in Computer Science is a plus. An experience with OpenCV/ARToolkit/Vuforia is also a plus.
