Welcome to my homepage!

I am a Professor (hoogleraar) of Economics at the KU Leuven. I am also a professor at the Geneva Graduate Institute (20%). Since September 2020, I am affiliated with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).

My research mainly focuses on financial inclusion and micro-enterprise development in India, Bangladesh and Uganda. I have also been working on political reservations and public good provision in India.
