Dazzling Administration

Introduction

The Hospital Librarian has the unique job to be the quality connector and quality filter of health related information for hospital staff and sometimes the patients and their families. S/he must be a creative, expert searcher in a wide variety of subjects using a wide variety of searching platforms. S/he should practice finding the best evidence. S/he should have a keen sense of hospital priorities to build the Library's collection. S/he should be the teacher or coach to all hospital staff for knowing how to access and retrieve quality health information. S/he should design an attractive, user-friendly hospital library website for customers to connect to the resources and the Librarian by text, chat or email. S/he should step out of the Library and bring information to those too busy or unable to come to the Library. S/he should step out of the Library to serve on hospital wide committees. S/he should market the Library and the Librarian tastefully.
