Bio

I was born in Kaposvár, Hungary, on Oct. 12th, 1982. I received my M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherlands, in July 2006 and in Program Designer Mathematician from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary, in July 2007. I performed my diploma work on selection mechanisms in evolution computing and on using prediction algorithms in human-computer interaction.

From September 2007 to January 2012, I was research assistant and Ph.D. student in Professor Ebrahimi's group in Ecole Polytechnique Fédéral de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. I was involved in several European projects such as, Visnet II Network of Excellence, K-Space and PetaMedia.

From 2012-2014, I was Visiting Assistant Professor in Professor Bernd Girod's group in Stanford University, Stanford, USA. I was working in multimedia system: mobile visual search.

From 2014, I am Research Scientist Manager at Facebook. I am leading the effort for Mobile Vision team on Efficient Deeplearning for Computer Vision.

Mission

My research interests include virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, mobile visual search, multimedia content analysis in still image and video, machine learning and pattern recognition and 3D object detection.
