Makara Sankaranthi (Harvest Festival) was celebrated at Vaduvur Kothandaramaswamy Temple on January 15th, 2015 with

a) Special alankaram and

b) Veedhi ula (procession) of Divya Thampathi.

The festival is very apt for this village, as it is surrounded by miles of paddy fields on all the sides. The day marks the start of sun’s six-month long journey northwards or the Uttarayanam
