Jyesta Abhishekam (Aadi Tirumeni Tirumanjanam) is currently performed at Vaduvur Sri Kothandaramaswamy Temple from July 27 - Aug 31st 2015. It is only during this time, you could have a great visual treat of enjoying both the enigmatic smile of Lord Rama as well as beauty of HIS Tirumeni.

The celebration included recitation of veda parayanam and tirumanjanam using

• Gandha thaila (scented oil)

• Pancha gavyam (purification by a special five elements)

• Pancha-amritha (mixture of milk, yogurt, fruits, ghee & honey)

• Payas (milk)

• Dadhi (curd/yogurt)

• Madhu (honey)

• Jambeerasa naarikela (lime juice, and coconut water)

• Gandhodakam (water perfumed with sandalwood paste)

• Mangalodakam (water with turmeric powder)

• Sahasra dhaara (a shower bath using a plate having thousand small holes)
