My name is Chris Holstrom. I'm a part-time instructor in the Technical Communication Department at UW. During Spring Quarter 2009, I'm teaching TC426: Introduction to Computer Software User Assistance. I've taught TC231 and TC426 in the past.
I am also a technical writer at Google, where I write and edit internal documentation for Google's engineers, develop documentation tools, and teach documentation classes. Prior to working at Google, I wrote about DB2 for z/OS at IBM. I specialize in database systems, but I've written about a wide variety of topics for software developers.
I hold a Master's degree in Technical Communication and undergraduate degrees in physics and English.
