Personal Information
I am now a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University. Previously, I received my Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, advised by Prof. Chin-Hui Lee and Prof. Xiaoli Ma for Speech, Language, and Signal Processing research.
My current research focuses on Quantum Machine Learning, an interplay between Machine Learning and Quantum Computing, including (1) Quantum Computing for Machine Learning, which leverages Quantum Computing to enhance or revolutionize the processes involved in learning from data, and (2) Machine Learning for Quantum Computing, which utilizes Generative AI to support Quantum Computing advancements in fields of scientific discovery (e.g., Materials, Genomics and Life Sciences) and Quantum Circuit Architecture Search.
My research, underpinned by the Hong Kong Research Impact Fund (HK$ 6.9M), is aimed at the prestigious Nature Portfolio Journals of Quantum Information Science, further validating the significance and impact of my work on Quantum Computing and Machine Learning.
