Personal Information

Dr. Jun Qi is the Founder and Technical Lead of QuStruct.AI, a next-generation tensor-native AI compute company focused on scalable AI-quantum co-design and structured intelligence systems. Previously, he received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he conducted research in Speech, Language, and Signal Processing under the supervision of Prof. Chin-Hui Lee and Prof. Xiaoli Ma. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and worked as an AI Researcher at Microsoft Research, Redmond.

Dr. Qi is the recipient of the IEEE Signal Processing Letters Best Paper Award and the 1st Prize in the Xanadu Quantum Machine Learning Research Award. His work has been featured in leading quantum machine learning and tensor network methods, with a particular emphasis on Tensor-Structured Variational Quantum Computing. He develops scalable and noise-resilient quantum learning architectures that integrate tensor representations, statistical learning theory, and quantum optimization to address fundamental challenges in the expressivity, trainability, and robustness of variational quantum circuits.
