Background
Utsunomiya Muslim Association (UMA) was established by Utsunomiya University Muslim students on April 1998. Later Businessmen and Job holders were also included. All the members of the organization are grateful to those brothers and sisters who have made effort to establish a Musolla here. The list of Presidents since the establishment is as follows,

Association Objectives
The purposes of this association are;
1. To build a permanent Masjid in Utsunomiya.
2. Support Islamic activities of Muslim students and their families during the study at Utsunomiya University and other Muslims who live in around Mine and Yoto campus.
3. Establishes an introduction to Muslim culture to Japanese families through social gathering and cultural exchange by glorifying the word of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala by promoting a better understanding of Islam based on the Holy Qur`an and As-Sunnah.
4. To increase Islamic awareness and strengthen Islamic brotherhood and unity of Muslim Ummah.
5. To coordinate and cooperate with Islamic organization having similar objectives.
6. To establish relations with non-Muslims in order to remove misunderstandings about Islam and contribute to the syiar of Islam.
