Our Director

Mr. Brett Bays is the Instrumental Music Director at Utica High School. Mr. Bays is a UHS graduate having been a member himself of the Chieftain Marching Band! Mr. Bays holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Central Michigan University where he was a member of the Marching Chips, Jazz, and Concert Bands. He has taught all levels of music in Utica Community Schools from elementary through high school including having served as director of Eisenhower's Marching Band and also working with Stevenson's Titan Marching Band. UHS is fortunate to have Mr. Bays return home and combined with his Chieftain pride now share his vast expertise to help the music program. Welcome home Mr. Bays.
