Justin MacKenzie, Ph.D.

Dr. MacKenzie is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Utah. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in psychology from Arizona State University and his master's degree and Ph.D. in clinical health psychology from the University of Utah Clinical Psychology Program. Dr. MacKenzie completed his APA accredited clinical internship at the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs and his post-doctoral fellowship in Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Utah.

Dr. Mackenzie works with individuals adjusting to chronic medical conditions and injuries, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurologic conditions. Prior to relocating to Southern Utah for family reasons, Dr. MacKenzie served as an assistant clinical professor, the Director of Rehabilitation Psychology, and the Director of Training for Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. While working at the University of Utah he founded multiple training programs in Rehabilitation Psychology for pre and post-doctoral psychology trainees.

In addition to his work as a clinician, Dr. MacKenzie is engaged in clinical research as an adjunct professor at the University of Utah Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He has been the recipient of multiple research grants as a principle investigator and co-investigator focused on improving the lives of persons with disabling conditions. Previous and current research grant sponsors include the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation.
