Research Areas

Our group is dealing with fundamental and applied fields of inorganic/organometallic/materials chemistry.

We are particularly interested in the development of novel organometallic catalysts for polymer synthesis,

chemosensors for anion detection, and functional materials for optoelectronic device applications.

1) Functional Materials for Optoelectronic Device Applications

  • Development of functional materials based on small molecules and polymers for the use as emitting,

electron- and hole-transporting, and host materials in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs)

2) Chemosensors and Organoboron Chemistry

  • Design and synthesis of boron based chemosensors and optoelectronic materials

  • Development of novel design principle for the detection of toxic anions such as fluoride and cyanide anions

3) Single-Site Organometallic Catalysts

  • Synthesis of organometallic catalysts for olefin polymerization

  • Polymerization studies on the variety of a-olefins including functional monomers.
