On July 17, Cerner joined the index, replacing Sun Microsystems, who had just merged with Oracle.
On October 29, priceline.com joined the index, replacing Juniper Networks, who had delisted for the NYSE.
On December 21, these seven companies joined the index as part of the annual re-ranking: Vodafone, Mattel, BMC Software, Mylan, Qiagen, SanDisk, and Virgin Media. The first four companies were all former NYSE stocks, and BMC, Mylan, SanDisk, and Virgin Media all returned to the index. Leaving were: Akamai Technologies, Hansen Natural, IAC/InterActiveCorp, Liberty Global, Pharmaceutical Product Development, Ryanair, and Steel Dynamics.

On December 20, these seven companies joined the index as part of the annual re-ranking: F5 Networks, Akamai Technologies(return), Netflix, Micron Technology(return), Whole Foods Market(return), CTrip.com International, and Dollar Tree(return), These companies were replaced: Cintas, Dish Network, Foster Wheeler, Hologic, J.B. They replaced Apollo Group, Electronic Arts, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Lam Research, Marvell Technology Group, Netflix, Research in Motion, Verisign, and Warner Chilcott.

On January 15, Liberty Media was renamed Starz, Inc. after a spinoff of a company that took the Liberty Media name.
On March 18, Starz was replaced by Kraft Foods Group.
On June 5, Virgin Media merged with Liberty Media, with the latter joining the index.
On June 6, Netflix returned to the index, replacing Perrigo, which delisted for the NYSE.
On July 15, Tesla Motors joined the index, replacing Oracle, which had transferred to the NYSE.
On July 25, Charter Communications rejoined the index, replacing BMC Software, who had gone private.
On August 22, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters rejoined the index, replacing Life Technologies.
On October 29, VimpelCom joined the index, replacing Dell, which had gone private.
On November 18, Marriott International joined the index, replacing Randgold Resources.
On December 23, these five companies were added to the index: DISH Network, Illumina, NXP Semiconductors, Tractor Supply, and TripAdvisor. They replaced DENTSPLY International, Fossil, Microchip Technology, Nuance Communications, and Sears Holdings.
2014
In March, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters was renamed Keurig Green Mountain.
During the year, NASDAQ lifted the restriction limiting component companies to one class of stock to be included in the index. Google, who underwent a split, was the first company to qualify under the new rules, later joined by Liberty Interactive, who added four different tracking stocks.Â
On December 22nd, three companies joined the index: American Airlines Group, Lam Research, and Electronic Arts. They replaced Expedia, F5 Networks, and Maxim Integrated Products. Comcast, Discovery Communications, and 21st Century-Fox also had additional classes of their stocks added to the index on that date.
2015
On March 23, Walgreens Boots Alliance replaced Equinix, who had converted into a REIT.
On July 1, Liberty Global created two new tracking stocks, reflecting the company's Latin American operations.
On July 2, Kraft Foods merged with H.J. Heinz to become Kraft Heinz.
On July 23, Catamaran was dropped from the index, replaced by JD.com July 29.
On July 24, DIRECTV left the index after merging with AT&T, it was replaced by BioMarin Pharmaceuticals on July 27.
On July 31, Sigma-Aldrich left the index, it was replaced by Skyworks Solutions on August 3.
On October 2, Google evolved into Alphabet.
On October 7, Incyte replaced Altera.
On November 11, PayPal Holdings replaced the old Broadcom.
On December 15, Comcast converted their Special Class A shares to regular Class A shares.
On December 21, these seven stocks were added to the index(in order of their re-ranking market cap): T-Mobile US, CTrip, Expedia, Endo International, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Ulta Salon, Cosmetics, and Fragrance and Maxim Integrated Products . They replaced C.H. Robinson, Expeditors International, Garmin, Keurig Green Mountain, Staples, VimpelCom, and Wynn Resorts. Also dropped were the two Liberty Global tracking stocks reflecting the company's Latin American operations.
2016
On February 1, Avago Technologies merged with Broadcom and adopted the Broadcom name.
On February 22, CSX Corporation replaced KLA-Tencor.
On March 16, NetEase replaced SanDisk.
On April 19, two tracking stocks, following Liberty Media's ownership stake in the Atlanta Braves, were added.
On June 20, DENTSPLY SIRONA replaced the four tracking stocks of Liberty Media.
On July 18, Microchip Technology replaced Endo International.
On Octpber 19, Shire Plc replaced Linear Technology.
On December 19, these stocks joined the index(In order of December 9 Market Cap):
Cintas, Hasbro, Hologic and KLA-Tencor. They replaced Bed Bath and Beyond, NetApp, Stericycle and Whole Foods Market. KLA-Tencor's re-inclusion is the first known situation of a company being dropped from the index, only to be added back later in the year. KLA-Tencor was supposed to merge with Lam Research, but the merger was opposed by government regulators.
2017

On February 7, J.B. Hunt Transport Services replaced NXP Semiconductors.
On March 20, IDEXX Laboratories replaced SBA Communications.
On April 24, Wynn Resorts replaced TripAdvisor.
On June 19, MercadoLibre replaced Yahoo!
On October 23, Align Technologies replaced Mattel.

On March 19, 21st-Century Fox spun-off it's broadcasting and news & sports network assets into a new company called Fox Corporation, which was added to the Nasdaq-100. The remainder of 21st-Century Fox, now under the ownership of The Walt Disney Company, was dropped from the index on March 21.
On October 25, CTrip.com International was renamed Trip.com Group Limited.
On November 12, after the sale of it's enterprise software division, Symantec renamed itself NortonLifeLock.
On November 21, Exelon joined the index, replacing Celgene.

On January 24, Old Dominion Freight Line replaced Peloton Interactive.
On February 2, Exelon spun off its energy-generation as Constellation Energy, which was then added to the index.
On February 22, AstraZeneca replaced Xilinx.
On November 20, Enphase Energy replaced Okta.

Six components were added. They were CoStar Group, Rivian Automotive, Warner Bros. Discovery, GlobalFoundries, Baker Hughes, and Diamondback Energy.

On December 18, six changes were made to the index. Joining the index were CDW, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, DoorDash, MongoDB, Roper Technologies and Splunk. They replacef Align Technologies, eBay, Enphase Energy, JD.com, Lucid Group and Zoom Video Communications.
On December 14th, an additional change was announced as SeaGen would be dropped from the index on December 18, due to its acquisition by Pfizer. Take-Two Interactive Software replaced it in the index.
2024
On March 18, Linde plc joined the index, replacing Splunk.
On June 24, Arm Holdings joined the index, replacing SiriusXM Radio.
On July 22, Super Micro Computer joined the index, replacing Walgreens Boots Alliance.
On November 18, Applovin joined the index, replacing Dollar Tree.
On December 23, the following three components were added to the index: Palantir Technologies, MicroStrategy and Axon Enterprise. They replaced Illumina, Moderna and Super Micro Computer. Super Micro Computer is believed to be the first company to join the index during the year, only to be dropped the same year since Allied Waste Industries joined the index in January 1998, only to be dropped in the annual reconstitution that December.

On May 19, Shopify will join the index, replacing MongoDB.
