Formed by 17-year OLD drummer and songwriter Mark Ashton, The Turnstyle recorded much sought after heavy rock 1968 singel for pye records, "Riding a Wave" & B side "Trot," combining elements of the then-current Pop, Hard Rock, and psychedelia. Although the group lasted for six months after the release of 45, and supported the Nice in concert a few times, they never issued any more recordings. Ashton went on to more well-known Rare Bird after Turnstyle folded.
