Super Smash Flash 2's Beta Release is the final fully-featured update before our full game. We are hard at work, well on our way and we let you see our progress along our journey - that's the point of Super Smash Flash 2 demos.

Is there a way to combine Super Smash Flash 2?

- Absolutely. Super Smash Flash 2 features a low landing lag and high hitstun. It also has high gravity. This makes it an exciting combo game that allows for many mixups. Anyone who is familiar with any Smash games will feel right at home, even if there are no combos. This is our main goal.

What Smash game is SSF2 built off of?

- Ah, you've noticed that SSF1 was based on Melee. SSF2 is Frankenstein. With our engine, feel and aesthetics, we are creating a "Greatest Hits"-type deal. However, we also take our creative liberties. This question is open to debate.

What engine is this?

Frankenstein'd is also the engine of SSF2. It looks very similar to Smash 4. Some of the most obvious engine features will be apparent right away (low landing lag and high-ish hitstun), etc. It goes deeper than that. As the game matures, we will be able to activate other engine elements.

Are characters able to perform complete moves?

- Absolutely. Some characters are currently animated placeholders, but all will be fixed before the full release.

Will this work with Mac/Linux/

SSF2 works better on Mac computers than most Windows ones. Linux is not supported. You can still play the game with Chrome until you have an executable.

Is an online mode being planned?

- It's in!!

What is L-Cancelling?

- Not likely. SSF2 has global reduced L-cancelling (some call it ALR - Aerial Lag Reduction) and instead of being move-specific, is character-specific with a few exceptions. It ranges from 3 to 12 frames (30 FPS). You probably wouldn't use it as often if we gave you Lcancelling.
