Linked Data: It's Easier Than You Think

Traditional library metadata has always been housed in silos such as a library’s catalog, digital asset management system, or other types of databases. Linked data has the power to change how data is stored, represented, and displayed for library patrons as well as providing additional information from other data repositories. This website will give an overview of linked data and how it has the potential to revolutionize library metadata, demonstrate a few examples of how linked data has been used in libraries, and provide information about tools that can be used to transform library metadata to linked data.
