You remember that students at your rural elementary-school had a diary assignment that involved recording foods that they ate during a week. The procedure was that the teacher provided a list of thirty vegetables that were most likely eaten by the students. Each student checked which vegetables were actually eaten during dinners at home during the week.
This exercise was done annually for a number of years. When you inquire, you find that some of the teachers who have been at this school for a long time have kept some of these diaries. They have provided their records and you have randomly chosen students from three years for analysis.
What do these records tell you about the eating habits of the students?
This is an exploratory analysis where you should look at the data from a number of perspectives. The data are provided in a spreadsheet that has been consolidated for easier analysis.
