The exhibition project "Burn Out!" consists of 18 paintings (in different size ranging from 17 x 31 "to 32 x 74") and 10 sculptures. Nine of these sculptures are stools on which visitors can sit and reflect on the era in which we live. Of course, this is a project that was developed without having a precise idea of the place of exhibition, so it can be reviewed.
The main theme is frankly oriented towards the fight against pollution, destruction of the planet's natural ecosystems, overconsumption and corruption of politicians by lobbies.
My work directly refers to what marked the beginnings of Contemporary Art: Pop Art. So it is imperative that just like Pop Art this exhibition takes place in New York City. With the difference that today, the reality of overconsumption explodes and we are forced to backtrack.
However, many people are either not really aware of it, or don't want to hear anything, or know it but don't care.
How can we explain the mountains of waste that accumulate on the roadsides, in the forests, on the streets and in public parks?
Why don't these people feel intellectually miserable when they throw their garbage in the wild?
Don't you want to punch your fist on the table, when you feel that things are completely beyond you and that there is nothing you can do?
From there a feeling of alienation which arises and a furious desire to return boxing gloves and to hit as hard as possible on something ...
This will perhaps give a certain result!
