Mission Statement
To provide the UC San Diego community with resourceful consultations regarding reservations, operations of student organizations, and student involvement while fostering a welcoming environment.
What Is the SILC Program?
The Student Involvement Leadership Consultant (SILC) program is a peer educator program coordinated by the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and University Centers at UCSD. Each year 16 SILCs are selected and trained to make event space reservations, answer general questions about student organizations, and promote leadership and involvement opportunities. SILCs staff the CSI Front Desk as the first point of contact for student organization principal members, and refer student leaders to various university staff, as needed. SILC also conduct outreach at campus-wide events, support all CSI programs, and provide presentations on leadership topics upon request.
