Job Description and Application

Safety Patrol is a department of On-Campus Housing whose primary responsibility is safety and security. Safety Patrol mainly operates from 10am to 9pm on weekends and 4pm to 9pm on weekdays to patrol UCLA’s on campus residential areas. Safety Patrol Officers are responsible for ensuring that all areas on the Hill are as safe and secure as possible for UCLA residents. In addition to patrolling the dorm buildings and external areas, Safety Patrol completes daytime projects as well as traffic control on an as-needed basis. During the summer Safety Patrol staffs for special events that can range from 7am to 9pm depending on staffing needs.

The position pays $15.00 - $16.75/hour. A shift differential of $0.62/hour is paid to all employees who work at least four consecutive hours between 5pm-8am. There are also opportunities for advancement.
