How do I join an Explore Trip?
Check the ‘Explore Group’s’ notice-board, at the monthly general meetings, for any trips in which you might be interested.
E-mails will be sent out to all members to advise of trips as they become available. Please read the details carefully before sending your responses to our Group organisers.
As numbers may be limited, make sure that you respond timeously to the organiser - you may miss out!
Outing details are sent out through the ‘bulk’ mail - notifying all U3A members of the date, content and, as far as possible, costs of the trip. You must complete the application form that comes with this message.
DO NOT PRESS REPLY but rather FORWARD and insert the name of the Organiser.
2. This mail will, normally, only be sent out once and you must respond to that, if you are interested. If you have missed the circular, contact the name of the organiser that appears on the programme under the trip in which you are interested and, with luck, that organiser will send you any information.
3. From then on you will be communicating only with the Organiser and he/she will send you any updates and instructions.
4. We make use (except in the case of the ‘bus’ tours) of our own transport. If you have space in your vehicle please indicate that on your reply. If you need transport, you will be sent a list of those who have offered transport and you contact them and make your own arrangements. Check for current rules of sharing.
5. For overnight stays – unless one form of accommodation is being booked for everyone – you will normally be sent (or can Google for yourself) a list of accommodation. You can then choose something that suits you/your pocket, and book that yourself, directly.
