Battery rebuilding:

CF card as hard drive:

Tried a Transcend 4GB card, and neither MS-DOS boot loader nor GRUB4DOS can boot from it. The current 1GB card works fine.

This particular adapter has screw holes in the same positions as the 12.7mm 2.5 inch hard drives it replaces, which is different from more modern 9.5mm hard drives. Unfortunately the 701c only works with one card, not two at the same time.
