Beginners
Beginners are always welcome, please feel free to come along or contact us for more information. Beginners can gain from individual and personal tuition which is not available in large clubs or classes.
To begin training, all that is required is loose comfortable training clothing – a tracksuit is ideal.
Training is carried out barefoot.
Students who are carrying injuries or suffering from any medical condition should immediately inform their instructors.
Although karate utilises the full range of kicks, strikes, punches and throws – training initially concentrates on proper execution of punching, blocking and kicking techniques.
After the first few classes, two-man sparring drills are introduced and then training by means of ‘kata’ (prearranged sequences of techniques) is introduced
