Sneak Attack on the Endangered Species Act

The Endangered Species Act is one of the most successful federal environmental policies ever enacted, with 99 percent of listed species recovering in their designated timeline. But Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has just proposed three devastating rule changes that would weaken protections for vulnerable "threatened" species, remove opportunities for public input, and make it more difficult to hold wildlife agencies accountable. These changes are clearly designed to make it easier for pipelines, roads, drilling, and fracking projects to gain speedy approvals.
