Awards and Honors

• Vietnam's 2015 list of young Vietnamese scientists. Only 67 are selected among Vietnamese scientists who are not over 35 years old, currently working in Vietnam and having made significant scientific contributions in all the fields of study, like engineering, natural sciences and social sciences.

• 2014 KICS Journal of Communications and Networks (JCN) best paper award (jointly with my co-author Robert W. Heath Jr.)

• 2013 EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking (JWCN) best paper award (jointly with my co-authors Steven W. Peters, Ali Y. Panah, and Robert W. Heath Jr.)

• Elevated to IEEE Senior Member (Nov. 2014)

• Exemplary Reviewers 2014 for IEEE Wireless Communications Letters. Only the top three percent of the reviewers for this journal in 2014 receive this recognition from the IEEE WCL Editorial Board.

• 2011 Professional Development Award awarded by the Office of Graduate Studies of The University of Texas at Austin.

• 2007-2008 David Bruton Jr. Fellowship awarded by the Graduate School of the University of Texas at Austin.

• 2006-2011 Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) Fellowship to pursue graduate studies in the US. Each year, about 40 Vietnamese students are awarded this fellowship.
