So, I recently bit the bullet and upgraded my MSI Stealth to Windows 11 from Windows 10. I noticed that my Logitech Mouse did not seem to scroll properly. You would start rolling the scroll wheel, but the screen wouldn't move. If you rolled up-and-down quickly a few times, it seemed to 'catch up', and you could scroll fine. Until you stopped for a few seconds. Then, it would do it again.
Fast forward to a new job and a new work PC (a monster Dell notebook with an i9 running Windows 11). Same issue, only worse. I gave up in frustration and bought another keyboard/mouse combo. Issue resolved. However, I didn't like the keyboard or the mouse. When you spend as much time on a keyboard as I do, it's tough getting used to a new one when it's not laid out exactly like what you're used. Amazing how a little bit of spacing between the keys change can really throw you off. Maybe it's the many years I've spent using my Logitech K750 keyboard (I'm on my 4th one).
Frustrated, I went back to my favorite keyboard and M510 Mouse. One day, Logitech Options updated. I started poking around in it's settings and found an option on the scroll wheel: Smooth Scrolling. I turned it off, and voila! Issue with my mouse fixed!
I'm not sure if this will be helpful to anyone, or if any web crawlers will even pick this post up, but wanted to put it out there for anyone else who might be suffering with this issue. I've seen similar posts in forums, but nothing exactly like what I was seeing.
