Cheer Box Information

Each cheerleader is responsible for decorating her own cheer box. Varsity cheer boxes are red and JV cheer boxes are black. Cheer boxes are the property of Troy Boosters and are handed down year to year. Each cheerleader is required to turn in her box at the end of each football season.

Cheer boxes need to be decorated and ready to go for the first football scrimmage.

Cheer Box Decorating Guidelines

Front Side: Name, in the following colors only: Red, Black, White, and or Silver

Back Side: Squad Name (ie, Varsity or JV) and Graduation Year in the following colors only: Red, Black, White, and or Silver

Sides with handles: Any design/colors of your choice

Top: Any design/colors of your choice

Colors for the Cheer Boxes

Varsity Boxes are red. The paint color is called “Licorice Stick.” (Behr SG170)

JV Boxes are black. You can ask for Behr Black semi-gloss.

For both JV and Varsity boxes, when purchasing paint ask for semi-gloss with primer so less coats of paint need to be applied.

For extra protection after painting, boxes can be sprayed with a semi-gloss, non-yellowing, clear acrylic such as Krylon Crystal Clear.
