Dr Lucy J Troup CPsychol Is a Reader in Psychology In the Division of Psychology at the University of the West of Scotland, Paisley, Scotland UK.

The focus of research in the Troup lab is centred on the endocannabinoid system. How cannabis effects brain and behaviour and its application to emotion processing. Most recent work explores the use of cannabis as a medicine in treating a number of conditions.

Recent Collaborators include The Medical Cannabis Group at Imperial College London, and the Sapphire Medical Clinics.

Dr Troup is a board

member of the Scottish Cannabis consortium and The Scottish Governments Cross

Party Committee on medical cannabis.

As well as a member of the Scottish Imaging Network (SINAPSE http://www.sinapse.ac.uk/)

The lab uses mixed

methods including both quantitative, relational and qualitative approaches as

well as imaging using EEG with a Biosemi Active 2 EEG System with 64 channel

active electrodes. Using both ActiView and BESA for data acquisition and

processing. Supporting this is a stimulus delivery system both LabView and

Presentation. The lab also supports Black Box Tool Kit.
