There are many special awards Scouts can earn throughout their Scouting careers. Below is a list of some of these awards (more will be added in time) with either links to the requirements, or a listing of the requirements, and a link to the application and, if the award is not directly through BSA, where to get the award.

Boy Scout World Conservation Award
The World Conservation Award for Boy Scouts, unlike for Cub Scouts or Venturers, is relatively simple. All you need to do is earn three (3) merit badges.

Recruiter Strip
This award can be earned by getting another boy to become a Scout. Talk to a troop leader when your friend fills out his application.BSA Supply No. 00219. Worn beneath right pocket.

US Heritage Award - Gold
The United States Heritage Award - Gold was "designed to give youth recognition for learning about the heritage of the United States of America, and showing patriotism. By earning this award, youth can cultivate an appreciation for the wonderful heritage of the United States of America." This award is available for youth ages 11-18 and adults who complete the requirements and help youth earn the award. For ages 6-10, there is the US Heritage Award - Silver. MISSION: Family!
The Mission: Family! program is the only patch a parent can earn for their son. It takes only 11 minutes to view. *Upon completion, a patch will be sent to you. Please allow at least two weeks for delivery.
