Camp Old Indian 2013
About Troop 158

Boy Scout Troop 158 is part of the Southbounder District of the Blue Ridge Council in Greenville, SC. We are chartered by Simpsonville United Methodist Church (SUMC) in Simpsonville, SC (map).

The troop, led by Scoutmaster Mark Smith, meets every Tuesday night at 7:00 pm in the SUMC fellowship hall. We have approximately 35 to 40 scouts from the rank of Scout to Eagle organized in four boy led patrols.

We have a strong adult leadership team that meets every other month to plan and ensure the year keeps going strong.
Troop 158 is active all year round with activities such as camping, hiking, and service projects, as well as many special events such as week long canoeing trips, summer camp, scout camporees, and Philmont Scout Ranch. Please see our calendar of events for the activities we have scheduled this year. And feel free to drop in on a meeting to see what we are all about.
Building Leaders
Troop 158 helps build leaders and instill confidence into young men. We give every scout an opportunity for leadership and responsibility by putting them into positions for learning and growth.

Our adult leadership is strong and provides mentoring to scouts so they can gain knowledge and experience.

We encourage you to drop in on our meetings and learn more about Scouting with Troop 158.
