Senior Patrol Leader - The senior patrol leader leads the patrol leaders’ council. In consultation with the Scoutmaster, the SPL assigns responsibilities as needed and appoints other troop youth leaders except the junior assistant Scoutmaster. The senior patrol leader is elected by troop members, usually for a six-month term.
Assistant Senior Patrol Leader - Fills in for the senior patrol leader in their absence. Responsible for training and giving direction to the quartermaster, scribe, historian, and other appointed youth leadership positions
Patrol Leader - Gives leadership to members of the patrol and represents the patrol to the patrol leaders’ council. ((does not count towards leadership requirements)
Assistant Patrol Leader - Fills in for the patrol leader in their absence.
Scribe - The troop’s secretary. Keeps meeting notes and troop records.
Quartermaster - Responsible for the troop’s supplies and equipment.
Historian - Collects, assembles, and preserves troop photographs, news stories, trophies, flags, scrapbooks, awards, and other memorabilia, and makes materials available for Scouting activities, courts of honor, the media, and troop history projects.
Librarian - Keeps the troop’s books, pamphlets, magazines, audiovisuals, and merit badge counselor list available for use by the Scouts.
Outdoor Ethics Guide - Helps plan and conduct an outdoor program that emphasizes effectively practicing the Outdoor Code, the Leave No Trace principles, and the Tread Lightly! principles.
Den Chiefs - Assist a Cub Scout den leader or Webelos den leader by helping Cub Scouts advance through Cub Scout ranks and encourage Cub Scouts to join a troop upon graduation.
Chaplain Aide - Assists the troop with religious observances and promotes the religious emblems program.
Webmaster - Maintains the troop’s website, making sure that information posted is correct and up to date and that the privacy of youth and adult troop members is protected
Order of the Arrow Representative - Serves as a communication link between the troop and the Order of the Arrow lodge, promotes the OA, encourages Scouts to take part in all sorts of camping opportunities, and helps pave the way for older Scouts to become involved in high-adventure programs.
Bugler - Makes appropriate bugle calls, as requested, at troop/team activities. (does not count towards leadership requirements)
