Troop 111 was first chartered in 1925 and has continued to be active in the Auburn & Lewiston communities for more than 90 years.
Troop meetings are held each Friday night from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the United Methodist Church. Troop meetings occur September to June.
The troop is very active, holding one activity each month – usually a camping trip. We have attended spring and fall camporees, klondike derbys, and summer camp. We camp at each of the Council’s camps often.
The troop has also climbed Mt. Katahdin (2007), visited Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts (2006, 2013, 2016), hiked the Freedom Trail in Boston (2005, 2008, 2014, 2017, 2022) visited New York City (2009), went on a canoe trek (2009), visited Acadia National Park (2010, 2014, 2019), visited the Museum of Science and the Aquarium in Boston (2011, 2012) and went on a backpacking trip (2011, 2015, 2019). In 2025, a contingent from the troop went to the Florida Sea Base.
